Why a Safe
House?

Safe Houses provide a temporary, secure refuge for people at imminent risk of death or serious injury. Residents include victims of domestic violence, sexual abuse and human trafficking. Unfortunately, our current Safe House is at 122% capacity!

The Empower
House

Our new, state-of-the-art facility will offer up to a 60-day stay in highly secure and comfortable surroundings. And with 24/7, 365 days-a-year staffing, on-site counseling and other life rebuilding services, there’s no place like [this] home.

The CFJ Way

The Center for Family Justice (CFJ) philosophy is simple: We start by providing safety and then empower people to become their best selves. Stabilizing residents’ lives at our Empower House is only the beginning. Our many support services such as free legal advice, social counseling and job search services then enable victims to rebuild their lives so they can thrive…not just survive.
